Device and system requirements
What you need on iPhone and Apple Watch, plus practical storage and battery guidance.

What you need
SwingIQ is designed around iPhone capture. Apple Watch features are companion experiences rather than a requirement for every recording workflow.
Exact supported devices and operating-system versions can change as the app develops. Check the current App Store listing before installing—the compatibility details shown there are the authoritative requirements for the available release.
Practical preparation
Video capture and on-device analysis need free storage, battery and sustained camera performance. Before a longer session:
- Charge the iPhone and any paired Apple Watch.
- Leave enough free storage for the clips you plan to record.
- Close camera-heavy apps if capture performance is inconsistent.
- Keep the device out of direct heat and sunlight where practical.
- Use a stable Wi-Fi or mobile connection only for features that intentionally share or sync data.
Companion cameras
A compatible second iPhone can be used as a companion angle where that feature is available. Both phones should be nearby, charged and using the same current app version.
Instant automatic capture is not used while a companion camera is connected. SwingIQ falls back to the appropriate standard capture workflow rather than quietly lowering the selected frame rate.
Still unsure?
Visit Support with your iPhone model, operating-system version and a short description of the feature you want to use. Do not include a private swing video unless support specifically asks for it and you are comfortable sharing it.
